Nanci Wakeman-Jones offers a breadth of knowledge and experience to workshop participants, presenting relevant and timely suggestions for teachers to deal with assessment and evaluation issues.

Nanci is currently Vice Principal of a Georgetown district high school in Halton District School Board. She has taught grades 5 through OAC and been a department head in four schools. She worked as a consultant to seven secondary schools for two years, providing leadership and training in all aspects of curriculum, instruction, assessment and evaluation.

Nanci has co-authored an integrated English/Mathematics unit for the Ontario Ministry of Education and Training. worked intensively with Grant Wiggins in developing an understanding of performance assessment theory, and designed and delivered workshops for teachers at elementary and secondary level.
